Meet Our Teachers
Ms. Wendy
Center Director
My name is Wendy Demers, and I have worked in the Early Childhood field for over 30 years. BVS has been my home for nine of them! I earned my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of New Hampshire in 2024 and my master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Grand Canyon University in 2026. I have earned an Early Childhood Professional Credential Level 3, Early Childhood Administrator Credential Level 1, and Early Childhood Credential Development Specialist Mentor Credential. As Director, I’m thankful for the relationships I build with the families of the children in my care, but also for helping the dedicated BVS teaching team grow in their ECE journey!
I have been married for 27 years and have two amazing adult children whom I love spending time with. In my spare time, I enjoy paddleboarding, crocheting, reading, spending time with my family, attending concerts, going to the beach, and being up in the mountains.

Pines Classroom
My name is Jennifer, I am a Lead Infant Teacher and I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 3 years. I work primarily with Infants but have spent considerable time with toddlers up to age three. Education has always been central to my life—not just in my career, but also as a mother of three. Balancing both roles has given me a unique outlook on fostering growth in and outside the classroom.
In the moments in between, I enjoy reading, painting, and finding new recipes to try. My husband and I also enjoy photography, hiking and road trips with our kids.

Infant/Toddler Specialist
My name is Amanda Shirley, and I've worked in childcare for 20+ years with all age groups. Currently, I am attending NHTI and working towards my associate's degree in early childhood education. I have earned an Early Childhood Teacher Level I credential with an Infant & Toddler Foundational Level 1 endorsement. I have also received a certificate in medical coding. I am so excited to be a lead teacher here at BVS! I love working with young children, watching them grow, learn, and build positive relationships with them and their families.
In my spare time, I love spending time with friends and family, especially my little nieces and nephews! I love being outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, traveling, and floating out on the lake.

Pines & Maples Classrooms
Hello, I'm Ms. Stephanie! I have taught in infant classrooms for 4 years. My favorite part about teaching is watching the children grow and learn new things, and all the snuggles of course! I live in Middleton, NH with my husband and 4 year old daughter. We have a dog named Harley, a cat named Ghostie, and a flock of chickens. In my free time I love to go camping, garden, and attempt any DIY craft I can find.

Hello! My name is Courtney Whitehouse. I have worked at BVS since July of 2019 and have earned an Early Childhood Teacher Level II credential. While I was in high school, I spent all four years in the teaching program. During my time there, I worked with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children! I also graduated with my Associate's Degree from Great Bay in 2023. I have always wanted to be a teacher, and I am so happy to be a part of the BVS Team!
In my spare time, I love to go to concerts, visit the beach, and spend time outdoors. I love going four-wheeling, mudding, and camping!
Miss Katlyne

Hello, I’m Miss Katlyne!
I have worked in childcare for 8 years now, with all different ages!
I have a three-year-old daughter who is my mini me. I am enrolled in UNH for Early Childhood Education; I’m almost done with my degree!
Outside of BVS, I like to go fishing, hunting, camping, and ride side-by-sides. spend every moment I can outside with my daughter.

My name is Sarah Nolan. I have been working in Early Childhood education for 20 years, primarily with infants and toddlers. I love watching young minds develop, grow, and learn. My husband and I recently moved to New Hampshire to be closer to our
families. In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, gardening, and spending time with family.

My Name is Kaylyn, and I am so excited to be teaching the Redwoods! I have lived in NH my entire life. I love spending time traveling and visiting National Parks with my fiancé. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, reading books, painting, and baking! I recently graduated from Keene State College, where I studied Early Childhood Education. I love working with children to help them find their passion for learning.
Miss Lani

My name is Lani Demers, and I am an occupational therapy student at UNH. I love supporting children as they navigate the world around them, and my goal is to work as a pediatric OT, so I am super excited to be at BVS and gaining valuable experience with the kids. Outside of school and work, I enjoy playing rugby with the UNH women’s+ rugby team, reading, listening to music, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Hi, my name is Shannon Kelley, and I have just started my journey here at BVS! I recently graduated from Cosmetology School and am working towards taking Early Childhood Education classes through NHTI! I love working with kids and experiencing their milestones. I hope to not only make experiences and memories that I will always remember, but ones that the children will remember, even as they grow!
In my spare time, I love hanging out with friends and family! I love the beach, shopping, listening to music, playing games, whether it's sports, video, or board games, and watching movies! I also love to travel and experience new things!
