Ladybugs

The Ladybug classroom is designed for children ages 18 – 36 months.  The teachers in this classroom are Ms. Lyn and Ms. Tina.  In the Ladybug room, the toddlers are starting to settle into a schedule and a daily routine.  The children begin their daily schedule with free play and then move into group activities.  Through cooperative play they begin to develop the attention span that is needed later on in a preschool classroom.  The children love to explore and learn new things, so the teachers plan activities around exciting themes based on the group's interests.  Teachers stress the use of language to express needs, manners and the proper use of materials and centers.  More complex gross motor activities and methods of becoming independent, such as potty training rituals, are introduced.
